In 1997, Srdjan Saper founded advertising agency McCann Beograd, now part of the communications system which successfully operates in eight countries of Southeast Europe.
Before entering the world of marketing, Srdjan Saper dealt with music, film and directing TV commercials.
Srdjan Saper is also known as a founder and a member of the VIS Idoli band that initiated the New Wave on the music scene of the former Yugoslavia and role in the cult movie “Davitelj protiv Davitelja”.
After music career, he entered the world of marketing. With more than two decades of experience he contributed to numerous campaigns for domestic and regional brands.
Prior to setting up the McCann agency, he worked as Creative Director, TV Commercials Producer and Directorf or the SM Delo, Borba, Idols & Friends, Ogilvy & Mather, and Saatchi & Saatchi agencies.
Today, he is a chairman of I&F McCann Grupa one of the leading marketing communications networks in Southeast Europe.
Srdjan Saper holds a graduate teaching position at the University of Arts in Belgrade and he is often invited as a lecturer and key-note speaker at various international conferences on marketing and communication.
During his career, he served on the boards of various public and business and public institutions. Among others, Srdjan Saper is a member of the Serbian Managers Association (SAM), the International Advertising Association (IAA), the American Chamber of Commerce (AmCham) and the Serbian-British Business Club.
In 2011 he received a lifetime achievement award for a creative contribution to the development of market communications, awarded by the Association for market communications (UEPS). In 2003 the same association presented him with a Special recognition for upgrading and development of the propagandist profession, and he is also a winner of the “Grand Slam” award for contributions to Serbian and regional advertising.
